The 15th Congress of the Communist Party of Australia (Marxist-Leninist) was recently concluded. The Congress began with the circulation of documents to all members and some close supporters. These documents were subject to substantial amendments and changes over a period of some months. This was a genuine effort of nation-wide collective consultation and involvement.
The final stage of the Congress, which involved a gathering of delegates from across the country, approved the previous Central Committee's Political Report, adopted a new General Program, as well as a Fighting Program, and updated the Party's Organisational Principles and Rules. These documents will be made available and published on our website in the near future.
The Congress also elected a new Central Committee, which then elected its Chairperson (Nick G.) and two Vice-Chairpersons (Alice M. and Louisa L.)
