Class war to intensify

Vanguard May 2013 p. 10
Jack D.

Under a Tony Abbott led government, the suppression of workers and worker struggle is planned to be intensified greatly. The real rulers and decision-makers, big business, have ordered it.

This was clear from the dinner held by the Institute of Public Affairs for their 70th anniversary, on the 4th April. Some of the most influential and greedy of big business people attended. Gina Rinehart and Rupert Murdoch (below) took it in turns, sharing the stage with “Phoney Tony”.

At this fascist minded right-wing think tank, Abbott promised this crowd of profit hungry ruling class exploiters a “big yes” to many of the think tank’s wish-list of 75 policies. Policies designed to transform their legal right to exploit Australian workers to a much greater degree than ever before.

Pro-profit anti-people plans

Some of what they plan to do is listed here, just a few of them.

They plan to get rid of the ABC. The ABC is to be broken up and sold. The SBS is to be fully privatised. Medicare will be denied to most Australians.

Corporations will be allowed to make secret donations to political parties. (In effect this would make bribery and payola to politicians and their parliamentary parties legal).

The clean energy fund and the renewable energy target are to be scrapped.

There is to be a return to an intensified and greatly expanded Work Choices. Another name will be used. (This is a tactic by which they plan to limit workers’ ability to organise and struggle, limit us more than has ever before been the case in Australia).

CSIRO is to be dismantled from what it is now and privatised.

Funding for sports and the arts, including the Australian Institute of Sport is to be axed.

It’s war! - organise now!

Now is the time to organise. Now is the time to develop our strategic approach. Now is the time to start preparing for the likely tactics we may use to smash the massive anti-worker attacks that are already planned.

Remember, this is class war. There will be industrial hell. No matter whether the ALP or “Phoney Tony” gets into Bullshit Castle this year, their big business masters will be identical. All that differs is the probable degree of the anti-people attacks and the tactics they may use against us. The bastards already think they have the upper hand and plan to walk all over us.

The essence remains exactly the same. We live under the heel of the dictatorship of big business, regardless of who is nominally in power. We are still in the shit; it is only the depth that varies with whoever is in BS castle. It is up to us, the ordinary working people to put a stop to their plans to grind us into the dirt.

Remember, if you don’t fight … you lose!
